Individual Chess Lessons - Filip
Filip Panchevski is an experienced chess trainer and FIDE International master with an official FIDE rating of 2410. He's born in 1988 in Skopje, North Macedonia and he started playing chess at age of 5 years. His first success was 6th place in European youth chess championship for boys U12. In January 2004 he become champion of Skopje the capital of North Macedonia by beating the first Grandmaster in his career. Later that year on the World youth chess championship U16 he took 16 th place and his first International master norm. He won his second and third International master norm in 2008 while in the same time passing 2400 and becoming an International master.
In 2013 he got his first Grandmaster norm in the strong tournament Durres Open, by winning the second place. In 2017, while playing for his country on the European Team Chess Championship on the first board, he got six out of nine points and with that his second GM norm. His peak rating is 2523 Elo points
He became champion of North Macedonia six times 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2022 he has won the Macedonian Open three times from 2010-2012. In his chess carrier, he has won dozens of tournaments in classical, rapid and blitz time control. Panchevski’s best win has been the victory over Ukrainian Grandmaster Volokitin Andrey with elo points 2695, and so far the strongest opponent that he faced was the World Champion Challenger Sergey Karjakin at the Chess Olympiad in Norway 2014.
He has been member of the Macedonian national team since 2009. So far he has played six European Team championships and five chess Olympiads. In the last two European team chess championships, he played on the first board.
Since 1998 Filip Pancevski is a member of the chess club Alkaloid. In the last 25 years, playing for Alkaloid has been national team champion more than twenty times. In 2016 chess club Alkaloid has become European Team Champion, and in 2017 European vice Champion.
As a chess coach, IM Filip Pancevski started from an assistant coach in a local chess club in 2005, where he assisted his own coach while being a student himself. Since 2012 he had started teaching chess online and had more than 100 students from all around the world. He has held three chess camps in USA in 2014, 2015 and 2017.
